If you're the kind of viewer who has more than lets say 3 tabs watching streams, you no longer count as viewing any of those streams.

Yea that seems to statistically match what I’ve been seeing. The Twitch Enhancer addon seems to show the real numbers minus external views which makes sense as those aren’t logged in users. Hopefully twitch figures out what they’re even trying to do because at the moment it doesn’t make sense :/

I should add that if its the ad blocker change then the viewers are still there, but just won't count.

If the ad blocker part is similar to Youtube's ad blocker change for counting viewership in early August that could account for approximately up to a 20% drop in viewership. (Just going off what they've been discussing youtube side of things).

The Covid bubble was also a drop from 3M to 2M viewers.
