Yeah. I didn’t really go to many movies in high school so I missed that window. And it’s not one that gets a lot of play on the movie channels. So just slipped through. You’re right that it’s very in my zone. And would have hit so hard as a teenager like a Fight Club.

Pump up the Volume still rips. But given our current state and podcasting, I fear the impact it had.

Lost Highway: Watched for the first time this winter. Watched it again within two weeks and then bought the 4k. Might be too much up my alley.

Ghost Dog: First time a year ago. Solid.

Trainspotting: Randomly watched a couple weeks back. Like it. Would have loved it if I watched when it came out.

So I Married an Axe Murderer: Banger

Good Will Hunting: Banger and recently rewatched

Judgement Night: Been a long time. We'll see if I give it a go

Pump Up the Volume: Watched a couple of times and rewatching now

Singles: Solid. Music and cameos better than the movie (which is also my review of Happy Gilmore 2, except it's less than solid)

Grosse Pointe Blank: Banger. Why did I wait so long?

So, I know what I'm going to be spending a ton of time doing in August.

Useful thing for AI critics to do would is to "red team" their own beliefs by spending some time to see if they can get AI to do the things they say it can't

This isn't intended to be snarky, there are lots of things AI does terribly. But we need more critics to actually engage with these systems
