Norman Jay played this at a gig in April and it strangely sounded fresher now than it did back in the day … πŸ€” The room went crazy! πŸ™ŒπŸͺ©πŸŒŸ

The original release is from 1986 - the track became so popular that Atlantic swooped in and licensed it …

Someone in government is really not reading the room: when we voted the Tories out, it was because we wanted change - Labour’s slogan. Instead, we have more of the same, and a spineless approach to the RW media. The net result of which will be Reform … πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

πŸ‘ The intention was obviously to come up with an OMG twist at the end but after the initial drama, it fizzled out into a dull, binary β€˜Which of them is lying about the meeting?’ argument. Then we had zero tension of four faithfuls not trusting each other ... 😐 #thetraitors

From constant scandals to its best shows ending – how 2024 turned into the BBC’s annus horribilis With star names such as Gary Lineker, Kirsty Wark and Mishal Husain leaving, a slew of others embroiled in legal troubles and a sharp drop in income, this has been a dreadful 12 months for the broadca...

Why is Mark Lawson not addressing the elephant in the room in this piece? The Tories installed yes men throughout the BBC - when will the now not so new government address this? www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio...

I think the woman on the left of that picture is Jeanette Landray - at the time a member of TOTP’s last dance troupe, Zoo, but she then became a third of Banshees spin off act The Glove, with Robert Smith and Steve Severin …?

If it was the MI5 option, I wonder if ITV would have had equivalent complimentary commercials like they did tonight, with the Yule log featured in the programme then advertised in the break? πŸ€”

Why is the production company involved in this barely mentioned, and it’s all about β€˜the BBC’? Shine/Banijay must know what is going on with their own shows, mustn’t they? There is absolutely a wider issue with broadcasters and on screen talent, but why is the production company being forgotten?

Agree with so much you say. But I’d argue that there is a much wider conversation to be had about those working in end of life care: they are currently underpaid and undervalued … yet others get away with skimming off public money for themselves. Time for a major change - and payback.
