We took the dogs out on a nice walk and saw some sunflowers and frogs. We also saw an elk but she was too far away to get a picture.

I wish we could move past the fear and superstition around wolves. They are amazing animals and a critical part of biological diversity.

This gave me some road trip ideas. So far I've only been to one (Cadillac Ranch in Texas) so I have a lot of work to do.

The hardest part of writing research papers was always staying under the maximum length. I always want to put in everything.

I had to Google to see if Yahoo still exists. It does.
I'm still gonna pass on their offer though.

I just learned that a family member back in Kansas got West Nile Virus and isn't doing well. I didn't even know this was a thing that could happen in Kansas.

So, everyone, please be careful and wear bug screen (and sunscreen too) and take care of yourselves.

We have family there and they have mentioned how quiet it is.

This isn't a political post but if I wouldn't recommend vacationing in America right now.

We said goodbye to the best girl this morning. We had lots of amazing adventures together and she will be missed forever.

We encountered this a few months back. Went to a bar in one of those tourist towns outside a national park and it was totally dead. Talked to the bartender and it turns out that nobody who works in town could afford to live there so they all leave town after their shifts.
