Decided I need more orange in my life. Knitting up #westknits Daybreak (yes, it’s a go-to pattern for me) with #PortFiber Dance Dance Dance as the main color. This colorway is called Juicy Fruit. 🧶

Week 78 of #showmryourknits is #garterstitch! This storm is a good day to work up a project in it and binge watch something.

Shooting Stars v2 is working up nicely.
I have opted to use spindles of the yellow for each section of the yoke pattern. A method common in weaving and lacework. It’s working out better than I hoped!

Operation Fresh Start is underway! All progress on the Shooting Stars sweater has been unraveled, new plan visualized, studio saged for clarity. I’m ready to begin again. 🧶 #showmeyourknits

I could barely fit it over my chest when I tried it on so need to rework it. 😞

I highly recommend using your #swift if you have one and need to frog colorwork. It keeping the tangling threads at bay so well! 🧶 #showmeyourknits

As I was winding back I remembered that my measurements didn’t quite fit the sizing chart. Also, the yellow yarn isn’t as springy as the rest. I decided to forge ahead anyway.
SO going for a fresh start, tweak the pattern and do the colorwork differently.
Trust your gut. Today’s a new day. 2/2

Week 76 of #showmeyourknits is what’s on your needles?🧶

I started a test of this geometric puff from the book Knit Fold Pleat Repeat to think about possibilities.

Also plugging away at the Shooting Stars sweater.

This is a depressing trend in new school design and budget cuts. Libraries are becoming shared spaces, usually media centers (if they exist at all) and librarians are tasked with multiple schools instead of full time in one.

Well folks, I reached a point that I cannot ignore there is no way I have enough yarn to complete this project and have a design tweak I want to add. 😕 I bought another skein of the deep blue from #lambstringsyarn. 🤞🏻it arrives quickly 🧶 #showmeyourknits #WIP

Hi Carol! I’ve been knitting for 17 years, studied fiber arts for my BA, and crafting I general since I was a kid to keep my hands busy. What I like to knit changes in time, the last few years I’ve focused on pullover sweaters but have a big goal to complete a cardigan and brave steeking for 2026!

I’ve been knitting in my studio the last couple days instead of on the couch. When I moved my project over, grabbed a blanket and invited him to join me he gave me the sincerest look of stunned joy.

Now he’s draped and twitching on my lap #catintheirhappyplace

Yes, plants do remind us they have their own schedule all the time. 😂

I must confess, if the knot ends up in the “back” of my knit work and isn’t noticeable I leave it and just keep going these days

Mine’s gotten nice and tall, but won’t open up yet. My sister and I planted ours at the same time and are comparing notes to try and time a holiday bloom next year. Seems like first week of November would work?

Meanwhile, my Shooting Stars sweater is moving along.
