13.01.2026 11:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0HIGHLIGHTS β’ Photothrombotic stroke leaves rose bengal fluorescence in the cortical lesion. β’ Fluorescence stays visible for weeks through the skull with low-cost imaging. β’ This method enables precise lesion extentΒ in vivoΒ under anesthesia.
Thrilled to announce the publication of my first first-author paper in the Journal of Neuroscience Methods : "Long term direct visualization of the photothrombotic cortical infarction through the intact skull of anesthetized mice" π§ β¨

So excited to present my poster about effects of Vagus Nerve Stimulation on post-stroke cortical activity π§ β‘Find me at PSTR332.08 next Tue, Nov 18 PM at #SfN2025.
#Neuroskyence
Hi #neuroskyence communityβ I need an active SfN member ID to register and submit my abstract for the meeting. If anyoneβs open to sharing theirs via DM, Iβd be super grateful.
Thanks so much in advance!
Incredible first day, super enriching conferences and meetings with other neuroscientists !
Can't wait to hear the next speakers tomorrow π§ β‘
Even though it looks like some kind of Eldritch creature, my army of reference electrodes will soon be ready to perform brain recordings. ππ§ #ephys

Congratulations on this impressive work exploring the role of inhibition during post-stroke recovery! π§
Also working on the perilesional cortex activity, my colleagues and I are excited to discuss your paper in our upcoming lab meeting.
In vivo #ephys community, any tips on separating putative interneurones from pyramid cells spikes? π€
The spike sorting litterature seems more qualitative than quantitative and I lack keys to fully get how to sort my data. I think SpikeInterface gives me all the needed data to perform it correctly π
I love the sci-fi vibes of my homemade brain recording probe system πThe actual probe (at the bottom of the big black block) is so thin that we can't see it on the photo!!

My supervisor @julien-chuquet.bsky.social and I are working on post-stroke rehabilitation and its related brain activity, can we join? :)

I made a systems neuroscience starter pack, focused on experimentalists who study the brain at the level of populations of neurons!
Also want to be on the list? Reply or DM me a picture of your ephys rig or 2p setup and I'll add you π€

We've started working on a #Neurorehabilitation Starter Pack to help researchers, clinicians, and other professionals in the field get connected.
Please reply or message to be added to or removed from the list. We're excited to see a growing neurorehab community here!

Thanks for sharing such a big list of resources! I'll take a look, it looks very useful.

Thank you for having me in the list and following me!
What makes this hot water system useful is that it is connected to a perfusion tubing system that allows me to adjust the water flow according to the animal temperature, so it is always in a good body temperature range π
Here's the Ephys station I built at the start of my PhD~
Still very proud of my homemade Faraday cage and heating system made of a water heater and plastic tubing! It can be unplugged (no more 50Hz noise) and still reheat the mouse during the recording!
Is it enough to join the join the club? π
Thank you very much!

For the first time in my lab, I set up spike sorting with Kilosort 4 in Spikeinterface! I love how these potential spike clusters along my brain recording probe look like tiny fireworks, I can't wait to analyze them all π€© #neuroskyence #neuroscience
