Not a replacement, but it went alongside the audio announcement.

As for why not text… BSL is an entire different language to English, so text & sign aren’t equivalent. It’s like having English text available to me in France to save me struggling to interpret the French.

For the first time this week, I saw sign language on the train station boards 🙌🏻
