It reveals that vaccinations didn’t JUST protect against illness.

They PRESERVED nearly 15 MILLION years of human life.

This is why I mentioned in my previous thread for everyone: IF you are not eligible for an updated (2025-2026) COVID vaccine this year (based on what the administration determines), it IS okay to grab a 2024-2025 vaccine as it targets the JN.1 lineage.

In other words, they DO and WILL target this category of strains that are currently circulating and help protect you this upcoming autumn/winter.

In Super Paper Mario, Tippi claims the Hedron obstacles in Chapter 4-3 are indestructible. However, there is an Easter egg whereby shooting them 256 times (regardless of Mario's actual attack stat) destroys them and awards 256 points.

God I stopped being vulnerable online a hot minute ago so it feels weird to be yapping at the void again. Weird but also good maybe? I'm not sure.

Longest possible way to say: book unpublished, gone for now, not forgotten but committing to a very extended break and trying not to feel like a total failure about it. ✌️

Moving across an entire three time zones cross-country is isolating enough as it is, made exponentially worse when I don't really feel like I've landed among people I can fit in with, hard as I might try. But that's probably the 11:30 pm brain talking. 😮‍💨

I scrapped the 100k of the sequel I was working on, and who knows when I'll actually revisit all of this? It feels a bit like...for now, I'm sort of just. Trying to stay afloat. Trying to find community, somehow, somewhere, in this ocean of uncertainty.

Let's just say it didn't really...land. In any meaningful way. At all.

And it's fine, to make bad art. I tried to be more fine with it out in the world, but the further away I got from having support, the more embarrassment took over. It won, I guess.

So much of the story and characters were built on the backs of friendships and relationships I don't... have... anymore. Where once there were cheerleaders is now an empty room. I haven't had the chance to rebuild that community, and who I have shared the book with...well.
