The goal of Spotifyβs algorithm isnβt to help you discover new music, its goal is simply to keep you listening for as long as possible. It serves up the safest songs possible to keep you from pressing stop.

Python foundation said no and rejected the grant.
If you use Python, send a few dollars to the charity to keep it going. Iβm pushing a dono on behalf of ScamGuard.

24.10.2025 20:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is a pretty serious overstatement. There are many distros setup specifically to make gaming as painless as possible.
That being said, anything using secure boot or easy anti-cheat, yeah, probably gonna have a bad time.
I believe it does have pacman but itβs like in read only mode or something so pacman doesnβt work without some tweaking.
Ultimately, big agree. SteamOS is great for the steam deck, but users should like for a distro better suited to standard use for laptops or desktops.
You know, as soon as I hit send on this, I realized I only ever put Linux distros on my Intel Macs. Never tried it on the Apple Silicon chips
24.10.2025 16:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Install it on a MacBook Pro :)
24.10.2025 16:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Bingo. So @strangetruther.bsky.social just don't use Kali. Use one of the commonly recommended beginner friendly distros (Mint, Pop!_OS, Bazzite, etc.) and you will be fine.
24.10.2025 14:21 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0If you are going to Linux full time - Kali Linux is NOT to be used as a daily driver. It's used for pen testing and as such doesn't prioritize your own security. It's very much a use at your own risk distro.
Even if you wanted to try some of the tools on Kali, you can install them on most distros.
βUse the open source appβ
24.10.2025 01:42 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Even for home use - I think the average user is just going to use whatever OS comes preloaded onto their machine. There are for sure enough tech enthusiasts in the world that switching would be noticeable, but overall you are right. As long as they dominate the enterprise market, thatβs enough.
