I continue to play Pokémon and will do so as long as they keep making them. This franchise is so special to me like others and has allowed me to connect with so many people around the world and for that I’ll always be grateful. Happy 30th anniversary Pokémon!

As I approach my 40 birthday this month, I want to reflect on how important Pokémon as a franchise has been to me.
