Bondi Says She's The Bar Now We don't need no stinkin' ethics.

@lizdye.bsky.social wrote about the Trump DOJ’s ethics-rule gambit, and it’s deservedly brutal.

“The problem” with DOJ’s arguments for why their proposed rule isn’t illegal, she patiently explains, “is that all of that is bullshit.”

I’ve spent years, decades, obsessing over the Bush Administration’s Iraq WMD lies, writing about them, debunking them.

I can think of no lie about Iraq WMDs told by Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al that comes even close to the enormity and absurdity of this lie from Donald Trump.

We adorn buildings with lithic lookouts not just for their delivering of stern beauty, but because some atavistic element aches for protection. You can always tell the difference between the legislator who is just reading questions put together for them by staff, and one who understands the subject and knows what they're asking.

This isn't going to happen. The US Development Finance Corporation doesn't have underwriters except for a very limited type of financial transactions. They don't have the risk management specialists for, nor are they chartered to do this. The Navy won't have any capacity for escort duty for weeks.

This is the point. If your vaunted trillion-dollar military can't get through a few days of airstrikes because you've consolidated the industrial base so badly, then you don't have a trillion-dollar military, you just have contractors in No. Virginia getting rich

This is kinda funny though, Musk taking a jab at the useful idiots in the press that have been writing about his 'genius' for decades. Every time he takes a shit and tweets, the press runs "Musk to Mars in A Week" and it pumps his stock. Imagine getting dunked on by this dolt in court lol

"There's a lot of work we have to do here at
NASA to prepare," he said. "We've got to rebuild our core competencies. Now, does this mean the overall workforce count increases at
KSC? I don't know the answer to that specifi-cally. I would say that there's a lot of contractors which do fantastic work that should be civ-
il servants. It's kind of the heart of the workforce directive right now."
He noted 75% of NASA's workforce is contrac-
tors.
"I think a lot of them should be civil servants. I think we should have those capabilities in house," he said. "We should have the ability to make changes and adjustments as we see fit, because we are NASA. ... We know an awful lot, and this is going to be our kind of pathway back to the moon."
It also means the primary suppliers, including Lockheed Martin's Orion spacecraft, Boeing's core stage for the SLS rocket and Northrop Grumman with the solid rocket boosters, had to sign off on the plan.

DOGE cuts led by Musk slashed a fifth of NASA’s workforce. Now the new billionaire space tourist in charge admits the space agency needs to start hiring full-time employees over contractors if we want to make it back to the Moon.

Trump Has Been Sued 198 Times for Withholding Funding. It Hasn’t Stopped Him. (Gift Article) Immigration demands for highway dollars, D.E.I. rules for homeless grants: how Trump has tried to wield spending to get his way.

We've been tracking nearly 200 lawsuits against the Trump administration over its attempts to leverage federal funding to impose the president's agenda.

The most startling pattern: The administration seems entirely undeterred when it loses in court.
