26.11.2025 07:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0After two infants died, the Louisiana Dept of Health under the leadership of the new incoming deputy director of the CDC, delayed notifying the public for months of a whooping cough outbreak. Instead, he ordered DOH to stop promoting vaccines. Pertussis is currently a national health crisis.

including tax, delivery fee, delivery tip? That's not a bad deal for a restaurant meal.

Having gotten both measles and chicken pox the old fashioned way, can confirm that they sucked. I dodged rubella, mumps diagnoses were pretty random back then, so I got the MMR this year.
DTP vaccine was introduced in 1949.
Turns out the current pertussis vaccine effectiveness can decline in adults who did get their childhood shots; friend had it about 15 years ago when California had an outbreak.
Did not recommend :-)
You need a Tdap booster every 10 years.
The only childhood vaccine I remember was the polio one,
because we had to stand in line and then we got a SUGAR CUBE!
As a little kid, how can you beat that!
But needles never bothered me. I wish we'd had measles and chicken pox vaxes when I was the age where almost everybody got those diseases.
There is NO FUCKING EXCUSE for this to be happening.
I had a baby die in my arms of pertussis some fifty years ago. It was a HORRIBLE death. But my fellow nurses said to me, "It's almost stamped out now, they're all getting the shots, we won't be seeing this again."
HOW THE FUCK ARE WE HERE. π‘
But ... caffeine and hydration! ...
26.11.2025 03:12 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Back when people dressed in formal costumes to fly on airplanes,
airplanes served actual meals.
US airline food may not have been Air France quality,
but if they didn't remember your veggie/kosher meal they at least had a fruit plate on board.
And there was no TSA naked scanner line.
One place I worked, the IT dept was replacing my computer with a new one, and copied over all the doc/xls/ppt files and mail,
but obviously there was no need to copy the txt files.
Which were almost all my data. A few .c as well.
And I realized. Holy shit I just need to install VLC and people will stop installing this weird stuff. Because at that point for some reason I ran the antivirus for the entire firm. You have no idea. You just don't. It was all fake media players. If you wanna learn what users want run the antivirus.
26.11.2025 02:45 β π 182 π 10 π¬ 3 π 0The Kochs and the Birchers and Cato and Big Insurance have all spent years performing rage against "Socialized Medicine".
So you kinda can rage bait them by talking about how well Obamacare works in the Blue states even though the Red states resisted it as hard as possible.
Sadly, most of the quitters won't be the worst Republicans.
The question's whether they'll be replaced by even worse ones.

The body was still fine for van stuff.
In the US, prom is usually near the end of senior year of HS,
so most* students would range from 17 if they were born late in the year to 18 if they were born early in the year.
Depending on school admittance cutoffs, that might be 5 months of older / 7 younger or 8older/4younger.
