February 20th: Big Shiny Scores Volumes 1-3 is funding on Kickstarter. The first volume is party posters for the Slugblaster TTRPG. An illustrated scene with challenges, tracks, and trick opportunities.

I personally agree. It sounds like they're doing a public alpha, so I'm going to give it a play to see how it feels.

Are the graphics what I expected? No, but I also knew they couldn't support the same graphics fidelity of the Horizon series with so many characters on screen at once.

A Slugblaster signature device called the Gravlux 3000, which is a vacuum hooked up to a tiny black hole. It _really_ sucks.

(I've also done a handful of zine-length Slugblaster splat books, but they're mostly building out Mikey's world and not doing a ton of innovation: itch.io/c/4983001/sl...)

Most of the _really_ cool stuff has been picked up between Evil Hat and Mythworks. For 2025, I've got to give the innovation award to Citizen Sleeper 2 (video game). @jumpovertheage.com does some _great_ stuff with countdown clocks in missions that've really inspired me.

Two hardcover books. Left book reads "CRESCENT 2E: Feelings-Delving Role-Playing" and depicts five children running away from a dinosaur. This is the stack of playbooks we're preparing for the AWBO kickstarter coming up on Nov. 3. I'm biased. I played these games during the playtest and I had an amazing time. Ema Acosta tinkered until only the smoothest running role-playing machine remained, a blend of osr freedom and storygame richness. A real vision.
