For example, Tomoro isn't someone that wants to "support justice", instead he is just wants to be free. Since Gekkomon was born from that, for better or worse, he starts just wanting to do whatever pleases him. Of course, as his bond with Tomoro develops, he might change.

Since Gekkomon was born from Tomoro's e-Pulse, he externalizes the inner thoughts that Tomoro has, making him need to actually face his true self, which he usually keeps closed to himself. Tomoro's own self and growth are represented by Gekkomon.

Usually, Digimon protagonists are positive and hero-like, but Beatbreak's Tomoro isn't intended to be like that initially. He is intended as a more closed person who builds walls to not interact with others and keep his feelings for himself, which results in anguish.
