the US hasn't "gone all in" on anything. China's national AI strategy includes govt, industry, education, etc. everything is included.

the US has nothing like that. it's a handful of corps that are investing in AI. but nothing asides from them.

AI-enabled companies will be a handful of people with MBA skills (not necessarily MBAs!) and SME domain expertise who manage an array of AI agents.

They add product specs, datasets, etc. to create an agent-enabled site for A2A (agent to agent) activity.

The new focus: "applied AI". Actually use AI in business. Define the business goals and KPIs. Find datasets, add them to an AI, analyze datasets to understand the market, competition, trends, opportunities, etc. Once the business goals are clear, create an array of AI agents to achieve those goals.

Folks, changes are happening in AI.

ChatGPT 3.5 came out Dec. 2022 (2.5 years ago). For the last 2.5 years, we've been in "AI Chat Mode", where you chat w/ an AI. That's over.

why are citations in academia and legal documents such a problem?

there are citation checking services. either software or people review citations to make sure it exists and it's relevant.

i can only assume those who get caught are lazy or cheap.

why don't the AIs include citation proofing?

the massive (and growing) national debt interest payments must be paid first, which reduces (and cuts) budget for all else, incl. social services. hard austerity is coming. this will express itself in politics.
