So excited to start on the #31dayhorrorchallenge from @nofspodcast.bsky.social .Today’s challenge is “My First Horror Movie” and mine is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003). I don’t own it on VHS but I’ve got my New Line Platinum Series DVD edition oiled and ready to rev up!

Really well put. I understand how it was probably pretty jarring for a lot of people at the time but it’s not “the worst film of all time” like a lot of people label it. For me it’s not even the worst in the franchise!!

Wanted to share a piece I wrote about the 1996 slasher/comedy Uncle Sam.

Didn’t set out to watch a politically charged film but this absolutely is one. It also feels very current.
