I think it might be a flaw of live service games.

I think for some of these games, the foundation they're built on was made so long ago that none of the current curators are truly "in control" so to speak. They're just tending to it, adding cosmetics, making number tweaks.

I finished the latest Destiny 2 campaign on legendary and the only impression it left me with is that the game itself hasn’t changed at all since I started.

It’s hard to air out grievances with that game because some of them feel intrinsic to Destiny itself, fixing them would make it less Destiny.

I *just* caught Summer Wars again in theaters like a few days ago... Look how my boy massacred himself…

Most of the internet used to be like this. This is actually the default, it took companies enclosing the internet and adding weird, soul-killing incentives to make people behave the way they do now. In a way, there is truly nothing special about Wikipedia except that it survived longer.

I'm struggling with your question here because my assumption would be something's wrong on like day 2. I'd be troubleshooting, but I wouldn't quit.

The hair in the right one straight up looks like it’s floating to avoid clipping lmaooo

Is the right one actually illustrated? It looks like a 3d model. Causes it to look really stiff in places, especially the hair (i.e. her side bangs floating)

One detail I love about the left one here is that while she loses her bun, she puts her hair up using the scrunchy she wears on her wrist.

The power combos in this game were what hooked me, reminded me of Gunstar Heroes. Was my first Kirby game.

Yeah I mean, once you’ve made the game and released it, the sociopathic MarketBros will immediately notice that you’ve “lost sizable leverage” and “are no longer generating upward investment on capital” so they smell blood in the water. They got what they want and now they’re done with you.

I butchered this post by accidentally deleting half a sentence but basically, this game has flaws but it’s gets by on being a really lovingly crafted and honed experience. The music and voice acting is great, the visuals are stunning. There’s a lot to love even if the gameplay wears thin sometimes.

I'll post more as they come to me, just tired of good games getting buried under mountains of bullshit "HD" Collectors Definitive Edition Re-Remasters and shovelware slop. If you want me to recommend you a game, tell me what you're in the mood for and I'll try.

Dicey Dungeons is worth experiencing for Chipzel's incredible soundtrack alone, but on top of that there's a novel puzzle/gambling game attached to it. NOT a roguelite/like, more of a puzzle game with roguelike challenge runs to clear. Highly recommend.

Roboquest is an FPS Roguelite with a booming bop of soundtrack from Noisescream. Just ended it's long series of post-release updates with an endless mode. Dozens of hours of running and gunning in this one, co-op is fun also. Incredible game.
