maybe that's what this year has already been about in some ways

at least I have some time to figure out what I'm going to do next. I'll probably just end up getting some other job that I hate and try to stay there forever, but at least it'll be nice to pretend for a while that my life could be something else

went to a pizza place that had the olympics on and the spanish ice skating team was just going around in regular football kit so I was like ok where are they going with this. then they brought out a goal net and kicked a ball into it a couple times

sorry to wade into discourse here but it always cracks me up when americans are like "I can't believe what passes for mexican food in the UK, everybody knows you have to go to the US to get the real thing"

it's cool when a regional fast food chain mainly has locations in california & arizona but then there are handful of franchises in like, portugal for some reason

even beans on toast used to be a typical american diner dish but it passed out of our cultural memory for whatever reason

dreamed that there were these kiosks everywhere with clips for you to hang your stuff on while you went shopping or whatever. but all you had to do to get it out was press a button so everyone's things were just being stolen constantly, probably not one of my better ideas

that's mostly been my experience except in my grandma's ancient falling apart house the heating was actually really good because it was the only thing my family spent money on modernizing

I don't think my room is insulated at all and there's a vent that's basically a hole in the wall with mesh over it, it's so cold in here if I don't turn on a space heater lol

don't think I can make a working new part for this clock just by measuring the broken pieces and eyeballing it, I'm probably gonna have to read some theory

its not the same movement so I'm still going to have to trial and error a replacement part. but I did at least figure out that half of the pendulum was missing so that's why it was going twice as fast
