Sixers say Tyrese Maxey suffered a sprain of the right fifth finger. He will undergo additional testing and consultation in the coming days to determine a treatment plan. He is OUT for the next two games and further updates will be provided after the back-to-back.

Nick Nurse did not have any information beyond Maxey was going to get X Rays. His parents are among those here in the hallway outside the locker room.

And Tyrese Maxey looks like he really hurt his right hand. What a nightmare.

This is a game I didn't expect the Sixers to win, but man, they really had a chance to steal it. They're going to be 0-4 against the Hawks and this schedule doesn't let up. They're in real trouble.

The amount of lazy passes the Sixers have thrown on the perimeter in this game is unfathomable.

Not a great third quarter from the Sixers, but they closed it OK. Quentin Grimes was tremendous in the period with 10 points. Sixers hanging around, down 97-94.

The Sixers' defense could definitely be better, but the Hawks are really making everything right now.

Sixers had some defensive slippage and the Hawks shot the lights out in the second, but overall, a great start. Sixers' offensive execution was great throughout. Tyrese Maxey has 22, Kelly Oubre with 15. Sixers up 73-66 at the half.

Trendon Watford is a sandpaper guy. Haven't seen much of it this year, but he's obviously feeling pretty good tonight.

Really good Trendon Watford minutes. Watford and Cam Payne giving the Sixers a real spark off the bench.

Tyrese Maxey drops 15 in the first. He's been excellent, but so has the team at finding ways to get him space. Excellent start. Sixers up 38-29.

Just about every Sixer who's touched the court has played well. They need it.

A reminder that the Hawks got Jock Landale for cash.

That's a hell of a pass from Cam Payne. Not sure what happened at practice yesterday, but this is the best the Sixers have executed as a team in literally weeks.

This start is showing how much the Sixers have missed Kelly Oubre's two-way play. Pretty strong start from this starting group. They're executing well on both ends and hanging tough.
