Got some good news about one of the teams I'm working with today - turns out our revamp of the game is extremely popular, got much more downloads than we expected, and it's even charting in top100-top50-top10 in some countries.
This is with just a team of 5.

Is there anything new around that lets me do this without wrangling a bunch of tabs and a thousand formulas?
I don't see Machinations being good for this but I'm open to the idea that there's a way to use it for this that I haven't figured out.

Building yet another collection/progression system of a large number of playable characters that can be gained and upgraded in exchange of resources earned by playing the game.
Open question for anyone that sees this (which may be no one but we'll see): Is Excel/Sheets still the best tool for this?
