Hard to judge by later film standards as Méliès doesn't really fit in the lineage or the grammar of film we're familiar with. Overall it's just a series of theatrical tableaux, but what tableaux they are!

After the Austin mass shooting, Greg Abbott blamed "unvetted immigrants who are hostile to America" and "who are loyal to our adversaries."
Now we know the shooter was a legal, vetted Tesla employee who assaulted a woman on the job last year but was protected from prosecution by corporate brass.
