Sadly, you're absolutely right. And that stat you mention, which I think I saw in a Law Society report, needs to be more widely promulgated.

A major problem is that too few people really understand the purpose of the ECHR. All they hear is loud voices from bloody Reform UK and the Tories banging on about small boats. It makes my blood boil!

There's too much emphasis on ownership. I want a government committed to building more social housing.
