Likely they don't want to set a precident where farms can insist on retesting or the testing of every bird before a cull, as it creates the oportunity for mutation and to infect wild birds who will continue to spread it.

There's no evidence that they've ever been re-tested. CFIA says thay have not and will not. Their position is that the birds are likely asymptomatic and still contagious, and that the long infection makes it likely that the virus will mutate.

I just finished it last night. With the state of everything, people choosing to help because they can is exactly what I needed.

Yeah I'll be voting Green next time. The #bcndp needs a reminder that they're not a centrist party. Making their employees fight tooth and nail to get basic cost of living increases is something I'd expect from the conservatives.

There was a short bit of effort to leave a corridor, but there wasn't good communication about it and library staff still had to get past the picket line at the sidewalk, which obviously wasn't a good time for anyone involved.

it was mostly amusing chaos, though we did accidentally shut down the central branch library. With hundreds of picketers milling about in circles a couple meters from the Library staff entrance, it was bound to happen.
They were cool and joined us in solidarity.

Today I grabbed a bit of scrap marble, did an easy pattern on it with wax, dunked it in a solution of acid, and started figuring out how to etch stone.
It worked surprisingly well.
Now to do some proper sculpting.

Time to recharge the megaphone and bake some cookies. Just got notice that my office is out on strike as of Tuesday. #BCGEU
