Who put me in a UM starter pack this morning? I’ve had many follows.

Had a procedure yesterday where clear liquid diet is required the day before. Everything was fine. But in the prep bed next to me there was a woman who ate a sandwich the day before and got reamed out by the doctor. She also said she smoked weed that morning. The prep sucked. Why risk doing it 2x?

Exactly 1 year ago today, our Annual Conference held our special called session for disaffiliations. It was painful, and it was terrible to be a displaced pastor as a Provisional Elder, but God has also redeemed that and is still doing so. Hold space for both things to coexist: trauma and redemption

The thing about hope that I’ve really keyed in on lately is that hope is active resistance in itself, especially when the world is desperately selling despair. It takes a punk mindset to dare to hope. #hope
