This week, we recorded with composer Michael Price, best known for his work on award-winning TV and film scores, including the BBCโs Sherlock.
We were recording for his new project โThe Seasonsโ, in which different ensembles will bring each season to life through his music.
Tomorrow we premiere a brand-new programme for voice and cello: a musical journey inspired by nightfall. Together with Josephine Knight, we travel through the centuries, exploring how composers have drawn inspiration from the mysterious hours of darkness ๐
Tomorrow at St Martin-in-the-Fields.
And weโre homeโฆ
After a wonderful three weeks on the road, weโve made it back to London to spend some time with loved ones before we get going again.
Weโre taking a few days to relax at home before heading back on the road next week, this time to Germany! ๐ฉ๐ช
Singing in the desert ๐ต
Weโve been soaking up some November sunshine in Phoenix for the final weekend of our US tour! Here we are on stage at the Camelback Bible Church, nestled in the shadow of Camelback Mountain, where last night we performed music by Palestrina and Gesualdo.
๐ Inspired by these young musicians ๐
We had the most wonderful time collaborating with the talented singers of the Northern Kentucky University Chamber Choir, culminating last night in a truly magical concert.
Weโve had a lovely morning contributing to the morning services here at the Park Cities Presbyterian Church. Tonight weโll be singing again in this beautiful space, performing our โLux Aeternaโ programme.
This is our last concert in Texas for the year, but we look forward to returning in 2026 ๐บ๐ธ
๐ To polyphony and beyond ๐
Weโre on a visit to the @SpaceCenter in Houston to plot our first concert in space ๐ Weโre making the most of an afternoon off before our concert at St Lukeโs United Methodist Church tomorrow!
A postcard from NYC ๐บ๐ธ
Weโve had a wonderful start to our US tour with three concerts across the Northeast!
Today weโre on the move for the next leg of our tour, which takes us to Memphis, TN, before three concerts in Texas โ Houston, Austin and Dallas.

My review for @arcanadotfm.bsky.social of Thursdayโs terrific lunchtime concert by @thegesualdosix.bsky.social & Matilda Lloyd at @wigmore-hall.org.uk promoting fabulous new album โRadiant Dawnโ covering over 800 years of music from Hildegard of Bingen to Roxanna Panufnik. arcana.fm/2025/10/04/g...
04.10.2025 07:40 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Our first concert in Birmingham!
For a group that began in Cambridge, it feels improbable that weโd have performed in Birmingham, Alabama before Birmingham, UK. Yesterday, we finally put that right with a wonderful concert at the University of Birmingham.
A packed-out Wigmore Hall!
It was a treat to be back at Wigmore Hall this afternoon to perform our Radiant Dawn programme with Matilda Lloyd. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate the release of our latest album! ๐ฟ
We performed FOUR concerts in one day on a tour of Cambridgeshire villages this weekend. From the early Renaissance, with works by Du Fay and Binchois in Girton and Fulbourn, through to Palestrina in Fen Ditton, culminating with music by our namesake in Grantchester.
29.09.2025 20:11 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Tomorrow we return โhomeโ for a four-concert tour of Cambridgeshireโs beautiful villages including Girton, Fulbourn, Fen Ditton and Grantchester. Weโll be sharing madrigals by Italian masters Palestrina and Gesualdo, alongside music by their English and European predecessors!
26.09.2025 17:28 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Cathedral Singing Day โ
We had a wonderful time at โLichfield for Singingโ over the weekend. Itโs a new initiative weโve launched alongside the cathedral to share our love for singing with communities, and hope to take this all around the country.
New season, new programme โ
Yesterday we premiered our newest programme, โThe English in Europeโ โ a collection of works exploring the cross-fertilisation of musical ideas in 15th and 16th-century Europe. It was our first time in Thornbury, a pretty town outside of Bristol.
Too early for Halloween? ๐ป
Yesterday we filmed the trailer for our latest immersive theatre project. Deep underneath St Martin-in-the-Fields in London we found a suitably spooky spot to film a few moments from โDeath of Gesualdoโ.
It premieres at SMITF in January and in NYC in Feb.
๐ถPreparing for the season ahead!
We spent yesterday putting the finishes touches to a new programme for the 2025/26 season. Weโll be debuting โThe English in Europeโ in Thornbury near Bristol on Friday.
๐๏ธThe microphones made an appearance as we recorded a little teaser for a new project ๐
And weโre live! ๐๏ธโจ
It was such a joy to be back in the In Tune studio, chatting (and singing!) all things Radiant Dawn with Katie Derham. ๐ Can you spot what we managed to sneak into the studio with us?

This year weโve performed all over France, with concerts from Toulouse to Paris. We rounded off our 2025 in France with our tenth concert of the year in Rouen last week ๐ซ๐ท
Magnifique รฉglise!
Weโre in the beautiful city of Rouen, home to many medieval churches and cathedrals.
This is Abbatiale Saint-Ouen where we spent some time enjoying its magnificent acoustic. Keep your eyes peeled for lots of content from this stunning building in the coming weeks. ๐
โจ The reviews are inโฆ โจ
Weโre thrilled by the response to โRadiant Dawnโ, our latest album with the wonderful trumpeter Matilda Lloyd. This collaboration has been seven years in the making, and it means so much to see it receive such glowing reviews, including this highlight from BBC Record Review
Scaling the heights! ๐๏ธ
We loved our stint in the mountains earlier this month. On a free morning we climbed one of the mighty mountains โ a little adventure to balance the music-making! ๐ถโจ
Later this week weโll be in Rouen for a performance of โMirror of Timeโ.
Anchors away โต๏ธ
Weโre taking the scenic route to Ireland. After 10 wonderful performances of Secret Byrd in the US last month, we canโt wait to dust off the partbooks for four shows at the Kilkenny International Festival this week ๐ฎ๐ช
๐๏ธ French Alps Tour, Summer 2025
Weโre back home after a magical five-date Mirror of Time tour through five beautiful alpine towns and villages. You can read all about our adventures over on Patreon in Alasdairโs latest blog ๐
