Yep you'll definitely need a USB stick if you wanna muck around with Linux. You don't even need a high capacity or posh one - a 32 GB stick would be plenty (although of course, the nicer the quicker it might be to copy files to)

Yep. I didn't switch to Linux because I wanted to, I switched to Linux because I hated Windows more

The good news is Linux is actually super easy to try out, and only requires a spare USB drive (unlike installing windows which is an entire day of hassle)
