I'm fine with a character that is reluctant to adventure if the *player* is all about adventure.

That can be a shtick that can work. They stumble into danger, don't want to be left behind, complain the whole time but still are effective because they just want to survive and get back home, etc.

The longer I play rpgs, the more I want all of us to write the story together!

This is pretty cool. I got to about the 16th century before I felt unsure but got most of it. Then the 1600s and 1500s I knew less and less...

As you know, you can use space at your local library, sometimes for free, for meetings & events such as informing people about the impacts of data centers & "generative AI," how to use a 3D printer, legal observer training, and more. In some cases, you can even put on multi-day events like symposia.
