#ttrpg dev tip: When designing your game, consider how important combat will be. If you expect action scenes to dominate, your rules should slant heavily towards that.

But if you want "quieter" campaigns, lighten the rules load for combat resolution & bulk up elsewhere.

I had a colony of dryads that lived in an ancient Aspen grove. They were all clones of the same spirit and also very ancient.

Entropy is inevitable, it is a law of thermodynamics. But the ooze gives the best burning/numbing/atomizing hugs!

In the world Primordant, there is a protoplasm, leftover and discarded after Creation. This is the unthinkinking grandparent of decrease from before Time. All came from it, split from it, and they all do the same thing: decreate.

It is the antithesis of matter and order, it is entropy.

One of my favorite TTRPGs growing up. I had friends who met Larry (the creator) and loved the wacky carnage you could get up to.

My first ever real "professional" shout out was in one of their Lock n' Load manuals for my contributions to new gear they published.

So in my quest for finding an old-school arch-devil I am also considering creating my own.

I know much of the originals from D&D are from famous literary works like the Book of Enoch.

How many TTRPG creators, like me, start by writing ideas on paper, then type things on the computer, and then move things into a publishing app - and then just try and write/edit/fiddle in *this* stage without every really finishing in the previous stages?
