Happy birthday to the great state of Ohio! Founded March 1, 1803, Ohio joined the Union as the 17th state and would go on to produce 8 presidents, earning the moniker "Mother of Presidents". Today we celebrate our day of statehood across Ohio. 🥳

The lawn crew emerged from their winter slumber in the barn to give their first existing conditions report of the season. Upon determining things haven't greened up to their liking, they decided to play a few rounds of king of the mountain before retiring back to the barn for the evening. #GoatLife

What a cold morning across Northern Ohio! However, all of the tree limbs were covered in a thick layer of hoarfrost, which made for a pleasant surprise. If you zoom in on the picture below, you can see the beautiful bright white "ice fuzz" as I like to call it, covering all the tree branches.

On a side note: if any of our neighbors saw me running through your yard while it was dumping buckets, it wasn't for additional photos. Charlie, our little 13+ year old dog, who's also deaf, escaped just before the storm hit and I was after him. Yes, he's back home safe, sound, and soaked. As am I.

Tornado Warned storm exiting Hancock County and entering Seneca County in Ohio viewed from our backyard. The storm was likely right on the county line when I snapped this picture earlier this evening. Hearing trees are down in the area and some are without power. #ohwx #tornado

Drivers be alert: more than 3" of rain fell last night as storm after storm moved over the same path in the Hancock & Seneca County areas. Many roadways are flooded, including 224 in several spots. Never drive over flooded roads, especially if the water is flowing as the road could be compromised.

Thank goodness it's raining again! I was really becoming concerned all of our mud was going to dry out. 🙄 #ohwx

The threat of severe weather has increased this evening for our area. There is a high likelihood of very strong winds with the storms tonight, along with the chance of isolated tornadoes. Storms are possible between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. – Stay safe, friends!
