Aww...those sound lovely, my friend.
They would be my type of weddings.
Both the Dear Wonderful Hubby & I have MASSIVE families & very tight knit.
We had over 300 people at our wedding and we couldn't invite many of our friends.
It was...exhausting. But fun. And the price of loving a lot of people.

I'm catching up on the news right now, my friend,
and...
wowsers.
I might have to take another internet holiday after this.
I love my doom but it is a little too much doom even for me.

That's for certain.
Catching up now and the doom is SO overwhelming.
Yikes.

For our wedding, we honored the Dear Wonderful Hubby's side.
He has no sisters and he's the first son of the first son of the first son.
So I told Awesome Mom-in-law she could do what she liked.
They gave us a substantial gift to help pay for it.
And the rest was covered by guests.

My side of the family is dirt poor.
We still do the church ceremony with a potluck in someone's backyard wedding thing.
The Dear Wonderful Hubby's side is Asian.
Guests usually give money and, if they are able, enough to cover their meal plus maybe someone else's.

Stars.

I have always thought a country
referring to a championship series
as a World Series
when it involves teams from that country
and only 1 team from another country
is a wee bit...telling
and it feels even more so this year.
