Wow, fantastic writing here! Such interesting points. Btw I was at Raye on Wednesday and she performed the entire show with no shoes, and boy did she own that stage!
Caveat that I too am old and was never able to wear heels (trainer generation!) so I may be anti-heel biased also.
And libraries are terrible places, giving out books for free!

07.03.2026 14:35 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Great advice here! I read it out loud late in editing, although this is making me think I could/should do that much earlier in the edit process. If your work is funny (or intended to be), reading it aloud is a real test of whether it truly is or not! Much of comedy is in the rhythm.

You could abbreviate it to NWIN.
I just wrote to the council about a continually waterlogged path and I very nearly ended the email: “You may wish to note the above.” @ronanhession.bsky.social
Instead I chose the pass-agg “Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
Andrew Garfield tipped to star. (As long as he doesn’t have to work Mondays.)

And if the Ai therapist disagrees with the human one, but the patient prefers the Ai one… Total minefield.
I have heard of a positive use for Ai in healthcare, using it to get patients with different languages booked in to see GPs without having to speak to a human.
What did they dress as?
My school not doing it this year, hallelujah! Although maybe bringing in a book would have been nice.
My idea would be to make it a pyjamas + book day at school.
