I’m not sure it was ever about the savings. It was about getting crucial information on every American and access to our most sensitive money systems.

Someone on X pointed out the scant coverage of Ron Johnson saying 9/11 was an inside job. The press assumes Republicans are crazy and malevolent, so when they say crazy stuff it doesn't get covered. But they assume Dems are competent & sane, so any data point to the contrary is treated as big news.

I always think about the fact that all of these people he has put in place with all their money and supposed business acumen could have done so much good. And really without even touching their wealth. But lord what they could do if they would be willing to share just a fraction to help others.

Be suspicious of anyone who fixates on IQ as a measure of intelligence. Real intelligence isn’t a number, it’s a burning curiosity, a delight in the world, a voracious hunger “to follow knowledge like a sinking star / beyond the utmost bound of human thought.”
