... because they're technically British. But without a passport/Certificate of Entitlement (both of which wouldn't arrive in time) they can't enter the country.
I'm completely stumped here and, obviously, upset because I figured I'd be able to do something as simple as visit my family with my kids.

We're supposed to be coming to the UK in April (from Switzerland). Both our children are Swiss, but automatically get British citizenship from me. However, neither have British passports.
