Modèle égyptien, exposé au british museum. Il est surmonté d'un chat, symbole représentant Bastet.
Sistre romain, exposé le 2 décembre 2006 à Rome. Il n'a que trois branches, qui se terminent en tête de cygne. Je crois qu'il est surmonté d'un chat également.
Celui ci provient du Kunnthistorisches Museum. Je l'ai photographié cet été. 4 branches, et un chat sommital
C'est moi qui l'ai fait ! D'après le modèle exposé à Vienne. Bronze, fonderie traditionnelle au sable.
Associé au culte d'Isis, le sistre est un instrument à percussion rituel. Originaire d'Egypte, il s'est répandu dans l'empire, et particulièrement en Italie, dans les ports ou les villes cosmopolites. Voici une série d'exemplaires, dont un égyptien, et un de ma fabrication. 🏺classicsbluesky

This pair of statuettes are of the Theban priest Amenhotep and his wife Rannai, who was a Singer of Amun at the Theban Temple.
Made of precious black ebony wood, these figures stand 44 and 33 cm high, with glass inlay and gold trim.
