Bison often walk through this campground and hiking area in #badlandsnational park.
Also, before I get any negative comments, I was zoomed in from a safe distance and there was a deep gorge between myself and the bison. Please do not approach wild animals.

Abandoned places fascinate me.
I took these photos at the Indiana State Sanitarium. They offer guided and self guided tours of the property. It was eerie walking the halls and seeing personal belongings left as if people just got up and left mid day.

I'd been to Devil's lake many time but never in the winter. The snow and Ice were beautiful and I couldn't resist a hike across the frozen lake.

From my research the only really good option is a Garmin watch and they are very expensive. After that look into a fit bit. Some of them have a decent battery life for a reasonable price. Google, Samsung and Apple all have short battery life and have to be recharged every couple of days.
