New book on my favourite shelf 🧡

First I love all the little touches about what life was like in rural Canada in the late 19th century. It was really tough. You could guess from the journals (I especially remember how Maud was always so cold in the long winters), but Rubio adds a lot of details. Women were such hard workers too.

Starting a little thread about my first reading of The Gift of Wings.
