This was a huge discussion in one of my university education courses. Your comment about racism as a structural issue, rather than an individual issue really resonates with what I took away from those lectures. This is wonderfully written!!

I'm always trying to add Indigenous books to my personal reading list as well as finding ways to use them in the classroom. I read The Marrow Thieves by Cherie Dimaline last month for a book club, and I'm really looking forward to possible teaching it in the future!
