DOGE was supposed to save $2T, saved $160B, cost $135B in buyouts, and nuked $323B in tax revenue. So basically, we paid $300B for all that chaos.

Radical Self-Love Becomes Our Greatest Ally as We Age Aging out loud and proud is liberating!

The relentless pressure to defy aging can make us feel inadequate or invisible, but embracing radical self-love allows us to reclaim our power and reject those limiting narratives.

Don't be caged by your age... age out loud and proud!

Repairing hearing, vision, and foot disorders instead of paying for involuntary surgery, rehab, and nursing homes might help. Why pay for a cane that keeps someone at risk rather than custom orthotics that are an incentive to aerobic walking? We get what we pay for.

Essay | Why Does America’s Falling Epidemic Keep Getting Worse? The risk of a dangerous fall is rising for Americans over 65. Distraction, lack of physical activity and ill-fitting shoes can all be part of the problem.

"The death rate from falls jumped 41% from 2012 to 2022. Contributing factors for falls are frustratingly complex. Reaction to prescription drugs, impaired vision and even such basic things as loneliness or ill-fitting shoes often add to the risk of falling."

A poem by Langston Hughes titled "Tired". It reads as the following:

"I am so tired of waiting,
Aren't you,
For the world to become good
And beautiful and kind?
Let us take a knife
And cut the world in two --
And see what worms are eating
At the rind."

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.
