The Commission will continue it's worth this year and is expected to start up a national conversation, which will likely have many opportunities for people to engage with the Commission's work.
It's really good to see both immediate action and longer term work on social care being done!

And yet public sector pay only has a marginal effect on inflation. It mainly means the government is able to point out that they are keeping borrowing down. Everyone wants the public sector, no-one wants to pay for it. Many don't even know what it is.

Thank you Labour!
Here is the PM talking to us after yesterday's COBRA meeting and before the press conference on the Middle East.
So good to have a sensible, intelligent, grown up PM during this crisis, after years of terrible PMs.
The thought of any other current party leader dealing with this really scares me.

This is incredible. UK emissions fell 2.4% in 2025 as coal fell to a 400-year low. Incredibly, we used less coal last year than than in 1600, when Queen Elizabeth I was on the throne and Shakespeare was writing Hamlet

He made a passing comment about HMS Dragon not being ready. If he'd asked he'd know why it wasn't ready. He probably knows why is wasn't ready, but didn't want to enlighten his audience.

We're taking crucial steps to keep children safe in school, so they can achieve and thrive.
For the first time, schools must stock life-saving allergy pens. Allergy awareness training will be provided. Each school will have a dedicated allergy policy.

The Green policies seem to be very wishy washy. Build more houses (how many?), but not where Green supporters live. Reform NATO from within (already happening, but a reversal from leave NATO). Mostly, we will do something based on Green ideas, but without saying what or how.

05.03.2026 13:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What is a humanist? A humanist is a non-religious person - usually atheist or agnostic - who reasons that, this life being the only one we have. We should: treat others with empathy and compassion. Make decisions using reason and science. Act fairly, for other living beings, our planet, and future generations. For humanists, morality comes from empathy and our evolutionary heritage, not from any good. Are you a humanist too? Take our quick quiz: humanists/quiz

Labour bring in stronger protections for children with allergies in school!
Measures include:
+ requiring life-saving allergy pens to be stocked by all schools
+ Extra training for teachers
+ improved incident reporting
+ dedicated allergy policies
+ Individual Healthcare Plans
It's far easier to shout at hotels and paint roundabouts than it is to do something that involves work and accountability
