A rental property is when you buy a small house, apartment or condo and rent it for income.

A timeshare is when you "buy" a week of time at a resort for vacation purposes. No income potential.

Timeshares and income property are two very different things.

She doesn't suggest a timeshare; she suggests buying an income property that brings you passive income - but, if you can't afford a house, you likely can't afford to buy a rental property.
