4-1 In the 2nd BAH humbug event with more sligh or as I dubbed it, Dan Paskins Presents. 4-1 in swiss, and out in the quarters in a tight 3 game set vs u-Tinker. G3 he had double blue blast and Chill and I only had 1 red blast to answer it. Good enough for 5th and a nice stamped Goblin Recruiter!!

We are deeply saddened at the news of the passing of Magic legend Kai Budde. His achievements in the game and community go beyond what we could say in one post. Our thoughts go out to Kai's friends and family in this moment.

Realized I had never played Necropotence in the 1996 format so finally took it for a spin. 3-1 in group stage to lose the mirrior in the T4. A fun deck to play but definitely difficult to play perfectly. Plus i got to finish someone off with a Aeolipile 😄

The league held a 1-day event going back to Inv/Ody and I played what was basically Brian Kibler's 'Red Zone 2k' Glory was MVP all day not for trying to blank removal but to just make all my creatures unblockable! Went 3-0 and wish i played this instead of that terrible Lich deck 😄

Trying to get back into the T2 leagues with a shaky 2-3 on wake. I had some cool plays but the deck is tough to play. Casting Decree of Justice is super fun tho 😄 And I wished for the Hunting Pack more than once

Made the T8 of the 2nd Big Apple Highlander event with Trusty Sligh. Went 3-1 in the swiss, could have possibly gone 4-0 with a few different decisions. Lost in the quarterfinals again but had a blast as usual! So many cool cards getting play and nothing feels overpowered! Just needs to add Portal 😁

Week 7 "B/G Cemetery v2"
Ordered some Stronghold Assassins to play this deck proper and I think it is pretty solid. Most likely needs Duress main but for Spice Paradise I think Therapy is more fun! 8th week is next and I am unsure if I like my deck but I'm out of time to tune it any more

Week 6 "Junk Gamekeeper"
Milling myself with Mulch and Gamekeeper to 'draw' cards was the idea I was going with. I found myself with Roar of the Wurms stuck in my hand and always drawing the Akroma but it happens. Prob more discard outlets needed but for a first draft it wasn't that bad

Week 5 "G/B Cemetery"
Adding green for more landcyclers and Wall of Blossoms. I tried the Buried Alive as a tutor with Oversold and it worked well in my game but I think Living Wish would be better.

I wanted to try Coffin Puppets really bad but I never drew them in any of my games. Gladiator is prob way better but not as spicy haha. Cycling lands is interesting I definiley need more black sources I might even play Polluted Mire since there are so many colorless lands

Week 3 & 4 "Black Ponza"
A 1:1 adaptation of Ponza Oath. 8 Land D spells, ZI for Oath, Phyrexian Arena for Sylvan Library, Sickening Dreams for Pyroclasm and Stalking Stones tries to do its best Treetop Village impression. I won both rounds but the 3 cmc slot is very heavy might need 30 lands 😅

Another deck from last league with a few changes! Swapped to Duress from Therapy, pulled out a few cards I felt weren't in a good spot and gave it another go. I feel like that the deck might have a few too many plans and not enough removal. Next time I've got it for sure!
