If these terms ended up in student essays, I could be pretty certain that they dumped the prompt into some AI generator. I found out that these AI generators (including ChatGPT) make up definitions for these fake terms and even provide context for them, distorting reality.

As a professor, I realized one of the most fundamental changes that comes with AI while grading essays last semester. To more efficiently ferret out AI-aided essays, I invented fake terminology and hid it within my prompts.
