Fair housing and fair lending laws were enacted to ensure equal access to foundational economic rights. These protections exist because discrimination did - and still does - shape who gets opportunity in America. #SOTU2026

Despite the President’s cont. promises, in reality the Admins actions cont. to cause chaos, fear, insecurity & dysfunction. Instead of providing the nation w/practical solutions to the housing crisis, they’re removing rungs on the ladders of opportunity. #SOTU2026

If the Trump Administration wants to bring down the cost of housing for everyday people, they should stop attacking our nation’s fair housing and lending laws. Fair housing laws exist to ensure markets work fairly for everyone. #SOTU2026

Well, the President continues to promise one thing, while doing the opposite. Housing is fundamental to the American Dream and the people of America wanted elected leaders to implement solutions to ensure they can fairly access opportunity. #SOTU2026

Trump does not simply want voters to verify who they are. That already happens in every state under threat of criminal penalty. What he wants is to force Americans to show forms of ID that millions do not possess in order to keep them from voting.

What’s he afraid of? YOUR VOTE.

All talk and no action: instead of addressing the issues fueling the fair and affordable housing crisis, the Administration has engaged in a series of actions that follow the destructive Project 2025, implementing nearly 70% of its housing and lending recommendations. #SOTU2026
