We need to do what we can to protect our loved ones and put an end to the Islamic Republic at the earliest opportunity, while at the same time preventing the seizure of the revolution by foreign forces and their servants.

Because she was working with a federal task force, she was considered a federal officer, and thus protected by SCOTUS rulings making it all but impossible to sue federal cops, even for egregious abuse.
Now consider what this means for Trump's immigration thugs.
Democrats had two years to fix this.

or how Paula Ben-Gurion (his wife) was originally an anti-Zionist anarchist from NYC since her teens. All
nationalism (but especially settler or imperial nationalisms) is a fascistic singularity, inevitably bending all ideologies towards fascism like a black hole bends light toward itself.
This just begs the response:
"There will be future generations?!"

02.03.2026 18:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh the grumbling I did. Yeah, not saying there weren't organizationalist misuses of consensus within the anarchist movement, particularly with spokescouncils at summits. But at least there had usually been some points of unity, vetting and social filtering of participants.
02.03.2026 18:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, this to me was always the biggest fundamental break between Occupy and anarchism. Two completely different approaches to consensus, and so it's particularly annoying that normie libs and socialists walked away with this wild ass fucking perception that Occupy was anarchist.
02.03.2026 18:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0In fact, Amodei already answered the question: if nuclear weapons were developed by a private company, and that private company sought to dictate terms to the U.S. military, the U.S. would absolutely be incentivized to destroy that company. The reason goes back to the question of international law, North Korea, and the rest: International law is ultimately a function of power; might makes right. There are some categories of capabilities β like nuclear weapons β that are sufficiently powerful to fundamentally affect the U.S.βs freedom of action; we can bomb Iran, but we canβt North Korea. To the extent that AI is on the level of nuclear weapons β or beyond β is the extent that Amodei and Anthropic are building a power base that potentially rivals the U.S. military. Anthropic talks a lot about alignment; this insistence on controlling the U.S. military, however, is fundamentally misaligned with reality. Current AI models are obviously not yet so powerful that they rival the U.S. military; if that is the trajectory, however β and no one has been more vocal in arguing for that trajectory than Amodei β then it seems to me the choice facing the U.S. is actually quite binary: Option 1 is that Anthropic accepts a subservient position relative to the U.S. government, and does not seek to retain ultimate decision-making power about how its models are used, instead leaving that to Congress and the President. Option 2 is that the U.S. government either destroys Anthropic or removes Amodei.

02.03.2026 18:37 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Occupy is widely talked about within anarchist spaces as the deathknell of the counter-globalization era, where for the first time in a decade the big thing *wasn't* anarchist. The point where we were eclipsed and drowned by libs. Completely at odds with the narrative that occupy was our apex.
