I was working graveyard at a motel, forced to deny people made freshly homeless by the 2008 collapse rooms at the prices they still expected. And fucking NPR was celebrating this centrist neoliberal. It was so obvious everyone was going home and would not resist the wars or the security state.

When people say shit like this it's such an arresting reminder of how I'm not an american, I'm an anarchist. *Everyone I knew* felt crushed with hopelessness at the liberal nonsense and the total collapse of Bush era resistance.
The day he took office was one of the most depressing days in my life.

"Jews don't belong in American society."
Imagine a sitting member of Congress tweeting that. You can't. Thankfully, it'd never happen. And *if* it did, it'd be the end of their career and the biggest story in America.
But Ogles can say this about Muslims without any censure.

I think I finally realized what bothers me even about the framing of Iran in discourse.
People frame IRβs tyranny and US/Israelβs imperialist aggression as a choice to be made. Even the βgoodβ leftists say βwe reject both choicesβ. But these arenβt choices, theyβre realities.

Endless discourse can happen about which choice is better, how there is no other choice and so itβs silly to reject both, or how people supporting one choice deny the violence implied in the other. I have been part of this discourse myself.

But itβs all fucking stupid because we are not talking about abstract possibilities. We live in the middle of the realization of both of these βoptionsβ as a reality.

Here's the Karoline Leavitt interview people are talking about.
Maria Bartiromo asks if Trump might send ground troops into Iran, because "mothers are worried" about a draft. Leavitt replies that ground troops aren't in the current plan, but Trump won't rule them out. No mention of the draft.

Jacob Kornbluth:
Jewish People Policy Institute survey of 692 American Jews with relatively strong
ties to the Jewish community, Jewish identity, or Israel:
68% support the U.S. decision to go to war against Iran, while 26% oppose it.
https://x.com/jacobkornbluh/status/2030717660032352485
JPPI uses
"connected American Jews" to mean respondents
who are more engaged in Jewish communal life and more at-
tentive to Israel and Jewish issues than the broader public. _The
group does not represent all US Jews_.
This sucks but the JPPI is a right wing org established by the Jewish Agency. The poll should be titled "This is what our Zionist friends think."

This absurd choice to strike Iran's plants can't help but look to me like a *deliberate* attempt to get Iran to genocide arabs for the US and Israel. The question is whether their tyrannical regimes survive the water riots and if China or whoever is able to sprint engineering support in somehow.

After we stopped critically relying on their oil, the US continued support for the GCCs was mostly a matter of positioning contra Iran and to keep them from becoming clients of another power, and Israel wants every Arab nation destroyed. So Iran wiping out drinking water does their work for them.

I don't think Hegseth or Rubio thinks beyond their nose, but I worry that the US becoming self-reliant and a major oil exporter changed the calculus: the continued existence of the GCCs benefits China, so having Iran genocide them while it dies is a net win for the US empire.

The Battle for Ungdomshuset
12 years ago, the Danish police stormed the historic social center Ungdomshuset in one of the biggest military operations in Danish historyβand lost.
Tomorrow is March 8, International Women's Day.
In 1910, Clara Zetkin proposed this event at an international womenβs conference at Folkets Hus, headquarters of the Danish labor movement.
That building later became the historic autonomous social center Ungdomshuset.
