((sorry for the yap but i have so little followers here and i don’t want my old irl friends to know i had feelings for her so this felt like the best place to vent))

So when I listen to Wildflower. I do see her in the back of my mind and it fucking eats me up, man. What if I told her my feelings before she fell for that donkey of a man? Would *something* be different? Would she be happy today, and would I be?

But now she feels like a hollow husk of her older self that I fell in love with. One that radiated ambition and dreams outside the control of a man. Now she’s a ball of anxiety, trying to be perfect in a god’s eyes. I wish I could’ve told her that to me she was always perfect when I had that chance.

but also the way my heart rate picked up when she’d get close to me when we started becoming close, before she got her shitty boyfriend. Because she was beautiful, like the warmth of a the hazel leaves in a florida’s autumn sun.

not only was she my best friend but after all that happened i can’t stop being reminded of her. At the same time, I can’t remember the parts of her I loved the most like her laugh or her smile. My mind only remembers how hopeless those last days of friendship were
