Equality of women was a matter of law tho?

Emancipation of women is deeply marxist concept and whole 2bd wave of feminism was a core of soviet society.

Decrees on high education, payment, marriage, voting rights were never repealed, I don't understand which law you refer to.

Also I don't understand your point relating to liberation of women being reversed.

USSR was pretty conservative, but it was at its time the best place for woman to live, the equality was pretty much achieved.

Maybe I am missing something, but all women in my family were pretty happy during USSR.

To be fully honest, it was still relative dark ages, so it is kinda forgiving, imo

And 2 world wars, civil war, foreign intervention really took a toll on population, so it is somewhat? understandable why he made such a decision

I wouldn't call him a disappointment. Not all people are perfect ones

I believe that even Stalin would be happy if Levin lived longer.

From his work his deep appreciation for him is evident and he is always self critical comparing himself to Lenin.

Cuba nowadays also shifts to working with capitalist countries, same with Vietnam and China.

Socialist USSR main trade partner before 1933 was capitalist Weimar Germany.

You simply cannot exist without trading. You would fall behind if you rely solely on yourself.

USSR had to catch up.

All communists had to work with capitalists even today. We live in global world, interconnected one.

Stalin's decision to focus on socialist construction only in USSR but with assistance of Comintern to all socialist allies saved lives by avoiding direct way with western powers.

Technically they never indented themselves to capitalists, since they bought in full at once the entire enterprise when it was constructed.

It was a right call for a time, which played a crucial role during WW2, when these facilities saved Soviet Union and mankind.

How many millions were killed?

I know for a fact that at least 9 million. 8 million Nazis, half a million white guard fascists, 100k Banderists/Shushevichists, ~600k sentenced to death with documents already in public domain now to see that these were not innocent civilians, 300k allies of Nazis.

Yeltsin and many of Oligarchs were also raised by this party, and?

The number of members of it was 16. Million. People.

Do you understand how many it is and how much the door were open for application?

You could sign to be a member at workplace at local union office in less then an hour lmfao

Soviet officials under both Stalin and Lenin made a right call to use western investments. This allowed for both limited industrialization and partial recognition, which in turn allowed to hire companies to construct more factories for USSR and develop.

28.01.2025 04:58 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Why is it so bad that you focus on that?

Cared only for power? Tell more, go on.

Lenin also accepted investments from capitalists. His government had to agree to pay Tsarist debt in order for limited international recognition and financial assistance in reconstruction after civil war and military intervention from said western countries.

The West forgave Germany for carrying out the Holocaust, but it never forgave the USSR for defeating the Germans and stopping it.

Kremlin nowadays is run not by communists, but by traitors and capitalists.

I know it is shocking to know that since it was just 34 years ago but still...

Millions of people were member of CPSU. 16 million people.

And you made a huge mistake in word "Netanyahu" when describing the main killer of 21st century.

Depends, maybe in my country technocracy is a left leaving movement. I know plenty of technocracy who read both Howard Scott and Marx, trying to tie Scott's ideas to Marxism and on how to avoid soviet mistakes which lead to restoration of market econony or something of this kind.

27.01.2025 16:50 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Somewhat true but they had some pretty progressive ideas and they basically created modern left wing technocracy, which is Marxist at core funnily enough.

TI aspired for planned economy at its fullest without market being anywhere at all, with profits being shoved away.

Pretty progressive for time

27.01.2025 16:41 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Technocracy Inc. legacy is of deeply socialist goals, so it is eve funnier given what rightoid musk is.

I wonder, by this very logic, should we also expell China from both UN and Security Council?

PRC never joined UN. The founding member is ROC on Taiwan.

USSR issued numerous times for UN to properly add PRC into UN, but instead UN just replaced ROC with PRC directly.

27.01.2025 16:15 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

USA used chemical weapons on civilian Vietnamese people, bombed them into oblivion

Invaded Iraq under fake claims of WMDs.

Britain failed to respond to numerous local famines and waged war of agression and genocide.

These terrorists should also be kicked?

27.01.2025 11:00 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

And Russia is a legal successor of USSR in all international treaties and organizations.

Like it or not, USSR joined UN as a confederation, and after collapse all legal, financial and international responsibilities were voted by CIS to be transfered to Russia.

27.01.2025 10:58 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

So did the Soviet Union.

Yet Britain today is not just a legal successor - it is still the very same entity that comitted those crimes.

27.01.2025 10:51 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Also entire world accepted it and it is a fact now.

There are no states that consideres otherwise. Even Ukraine recognizes Russia as successor of USSR since they voted to recognize it as such in 90s and never recinded the vote.

27.01.2025 10:43 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Well, on topic of holodomor, then British empire should be responsible for Burma wars and genocide there, mass famine in I dia during ww2 and before, colonization, subjugation, illegal wars etc.

Same with USA.

Same with France.

Should we kick all these countries?

27.01.2025 10:41 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I can't find Latvian, Estonian Turkmeni or Kazakh votes on joining UN as well.

Should we exclude 14 states at once?

27.01.2025 10:40 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It is a pretty special case since even back then it was a legal entity akin to direct confederation.

27.01.2025 10:39 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Then by your logic none of former soviet states should be really in there at all. Ukraine today considers itself as inheritor of Ukrainian People Republic, not a UN member of Ukrainian SSR.

Issue is, that USSR as an entity was represented both by USSR tag and by 2 SSRs - Belarus and Ukraine.
