I'm a foreign national with an American Spouse living outside the US. I file with the IRS. When I do enter the US it is with an ESTA & visa waiver. Every aspect of my life runs through Google and Microsoft accounts one way or another. The US govt already has access to more than I could tell them.

It's my biggest issue beyond the buy-in. Of likely spots two are living spaces but can be vented via windows. One is upstairs which isn't great for chemical handling. And the other choice is an unheated porch area where the venting option is opening the door for a change of air.

It just occurred to me that there may now be a market for built-in fume cabinets for the home. Extraction, climate control the works.

In case you miss me. Just a short word to let people know that I will be somewhat thin on the ground for the coming months. I am dealing with some family issues and will not have as much time for streaming and social media.

To be fair... Insulting each others beans is a national passtime but it is a deeply nuanced cultural tradition that should not be attempted by the uninitiated.

Yesterday was the first day I missed since January.

Today I had time to draw two.

Mindfulness practice is about creating a reflex for calm. It wasn't my intention when I started but the calm is there when I need it.

When my uncle hauled his boat in from its mooring. His collie would help by pulling on the rope.

After my uncle passed. The dog would occasionally jump the fence. They'd find the boat hauled up and the dog nested under the thwarts.

Breaks my heart every time I'm reminded of it.

I had the honor of making this painting for Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein.

The whole thing gives me the ick.. but in the middle of it is using the term 'barely legal' to describe minors.

15 is not at all legal.. 15 is statutory rape.

I don't give a rats ass hair for the technicalities of what particular niche paraphilias a rapist and human trafficer has.

"Nae king! Nae quin! Nae laird! Nae master! We willna' be fooled again!"

As of last Thursday when I put them in the composting bin, Mine were getting a bit slimy inside but were actually doing OK lookswise.

I've found that because of the relatively high humidity and lowish temps they keep pretty well for about 2 weeks

I just don't have the spoons to deal with people who are deliberately or belligerently obtuse.

I have thoughts. But I have no desire at all to spend my entire day trying to explain myself to people who either dont read or can't parse what I have written. Or worse yet argue with people who agree with me but insist I am wrong.

In the last few weeks I've found myself doing something here that I was doing a lot 5 years ago. Right before I logged out of Reddit and never logged back in. Which is composing a careful reply then just throwing the post away because frankly any engagement that comes from it will be negative.

This just explains so much.
