I am CLEARLY not going to play it now if I buy it and will probably forget that it exists. But it's 80% off. I have to get it or give up on it. And it's potentially-relevant research for the kinds of games I make. aaaaaaaaa.

My general rule for wishlist management is that if things hit a certain discount level I have to either buy them or accept that I don't want to buy them and delete them from the list.
But I have such a huge unplayed backlog this gets hard at times.

Spells of Gold is interesting to examine -"what if a Space Trading Sim, but as a Diablo-like?"
There's a main questline and even good/bad paths, but weaved around tons of trading & deliveries between towns (and avoiding/killing enemies) to earn money & grow stronger. Repetitive, but I see the charm

Clever little budget-priced CPRG just left early access with a good launch discount, too.
A weird swampy fantasy setting, semi-real-time combat ala Vagrant Story and a cool claymation-esque art style. Also hugely undersold so far.

Finally got a chance to play through this. I am obviously the target market, being a fan of both Lower Decks and gamebooks/CYOAs, but I would recommend it to anyone who likes either. It was a lot of fun!
