Took my big feelings about shit going on this week out on my kitchen. So now every surface in the kitchen is clean except the disaster my husband makes of the stove. Which I’ll probably get mad enough at tomorrow.

Took another Ubrevly today because the migraine was still having on but I was able to get some work done! Photo shows my migraine friendly office with the curtains drawn to dim the room. Yes I still need to get a second set of panels but even this was comfortable.

Air quality popped up to over 100 for a bit yesterday and set off a migraine overnight. I took an Ubrevly for the first time around 11. It took til now and a nap after breakfast to fully do its thing but I feel mostly normal and just a little worn out. So I think this might be a win?

Pretty much! I have now gone to the chiropractor and managed to hit the garage trim when I got home so I think I’m going back to bed for a month.

There’s too much happening all at once so this is my blanket denouncement of anything I haven’t talked about in social media recently. I’ve been vocal elsewhere just not always online. Because it’s ✨exhausting✨.

I panted my office and ignored it all for a week. My therapist might have something to say about me sacrificing my physical wellbeing for my mental health but.

Meh.

Entering the stage of fascism where comedians can no longer make jokes about the administration is terrifying actually. If you voted for this, didn’t vote, or voted 3rd party in the last election kindly see yourself out.

Bestie, sit down I have some news for you (that shouldn’t be news at all since I’m not even remotely the first to say this) …

Do I regret powering through to finish my office in a week by myself? Nah. It was soooo good for my mental health that my physical health can suck it up. 😘

RSI has nearly settled. Shoulder is better and the nerve signals have stopped being confused in my arm. Hands are still complaining when I make a fist and carrying my coffee cup hurts but hopefully by Monday I can function with compression gloves.

For many of us our very existence is political. The existence of our books are political. Now is not the time to (permanently) stick our heads in the sand. If you need space from that, it’s valid to step back for a bit to recharge and rally for the next deluge, but it’s not going away any time soon.

Now that my office is done I’m treating a nasty RSI in my right hand and shoulder. Once it settles a little more I finally get to enjoy my hard work!

Am I happy people were shot today? No. Am I more pissed that children were not only shot today but barely acknowledged because some fascist died? Yes. Abso-fking-lutely. Am I upset the fascist has more grief and sympathy than the Minnesota reps in June? You betcha.

I want off this train.

Alright, so I've been afraid to say this out loud, but I think after today, I can say it: In the first Battle of Los Angeles, the good people of LA County have prevailed. We beat ICE back. 1/
