🐁 Suwako Moriya (Touhou Project) and Bakumi Hannaka (OC) have a brief conversation. B: Oh, Suwako! Do you have a minute? S: (No honorifics...?) Hey, Bakumi. What's up? B: Well, uh... so... this might be a funny question, but... We're still friends, right?

(Suwako looks perplexed.) B: Ah... S-Suwako? S: Hold still, I'm trying to figure out if all those explosions finally did something to your brain. B: Hey, I'm being serious here! S: ...Kidding, kidding! After all, I don't exactly have room to talk. B: What do you mean? S: Well, all that time you spent waiting for me, in the afterlife...? I thought that you had forgotten me, y'know. So eventually I ended up forgetting you, too. I was fully prepared to disappear before we moved to Gensokyo. Kanako was the one who reminded me that I still had things to live for, and I am glad I listened to her, but...

S: ...When we moved, and I prepared to revive you, I was pretty worried. If it didn't work, I would've learned that you really did give up on me, and I guess that scared me. But y'know what scared me even more? It's when I learned you didn't. B (flashback): I always believed in you! Lady Moriya! It's been so long! S: I saw your face again and heard your voice, and I thought "I was just making excuses." I couldn't hold even a fraction of the same faith you put in me; if I did, I would've held onto you on my own. Real pal, huh? So I sure don't blame you for thinking that maybe we aren't friends. B: Suwako... Not being understood by someone you care about is worse than death. A thousand years is a really long time. I don't fault you for forgetting. I've never expected you to be perfect. It's not that I believed you wouldn't forget me. I just believed in *you*. We're talking now for a reason; because we both wanted it, and I think that means something.

S: Hah... yeah. I guess that's true. Sorry, girl. Somehow you ended up being the one talking sense into me. Not a feeling I'm used to! B: No, it's fine... I already knew the answer, so I ended up wasting your time over something stupid. S: Hey, I'm the one who wasted so much of yours. 5 minutes is nothing. Anyway, I hate to run on you, but I've got some shrine shit to sort out with Kanako, so I gotta go. Thanks for the talk; really. And hey, let's hang sometime, like the old days! Only if you wanna, of course. B: Sure... Like the old days... .....
