Yosemite Valley

After spending some time in the Eastern Sierras, I made a quick stop to an iconically unique and special place.

A wonderful display of concretion and am guessing there’s a fossil hidden inside.

Thank you, very nice colors and shapes…almost looks a bit frozen over. Endless opportunities when it comes to photographing water.

Absolutely Bob! This particular stone was small enough to be taken back out during the receding tide but this continuous process is definitely part of what causes this beautiful sedimentary layering
